Baptism in the Holy Spirit @ 10/26/2008 04:33:00 AM well,i was thinking maybe u all wanted some explaination on the baptism in the holy spirit. ok let's get started little by little... almost everyday,u hear sounds like people mumbling something which u dun even understand.(i mean in the Sister Cyr's Hall)..actually,it's called baptism in the Holy Spirit. we, as Christians,can ask for the baptism in the Holy Spirit,where it will be given by God.the pastor will lay hands on you and pray for u to be filled with the Holy Spirit.Then, as God gives u the gift,u are able to speak in tongues(where u hear ppl praying).actually,its not a scary thing.they r not like praying to wat evil spirit or wat,they r praying to God.tat's right.but we will never be able to understand wat we prayed for.this is because as we pray,our body is filled with the Holy Spirit.when it overflows,it will start praying to God.it doesn't matter when we dunno wat to pray sometimes.the Holy Spirit can help us to pray.all we need to do is to have faith in God and believe tat He has given you the gift to pray in tongues. dun seem to boast when u are given the gift.everything u own now is from God.HE can take them away in just a split second.but because He loves and he cares for u,so HE is forgiving you everytime.yeah,sometimes when i stand in thepresence of the Lord,i really feel the guilt in my heart.i hate myself for being such a sinful human.i know i could be more like Jesus if i have faith and is willing to walk with HIM,watever the price is.but my humanly nature is so ...arrgh.. today pastor open the alter for alter call.he asked for young ppl to go stand out so tat he could prayfor us.i sholud have gone out and dedicate my life to God,becase HE is the alfa and omega,the beginning and the end.i know i could be saved if i walk beside Him with faith.but in school?i am supposed to shine for His glory.but look at wat i had done.i dun show God's character there.all i know is to complain and complain.haiz... signing off, hannah p/s: feel free to ask me if u have any enquiries. |
